NAWEA/WindTech 2023 Conference
October 30-November 1, 2023, Denver, Colorado
The North American Wind Energy Academy (NAWEA)/WindTech 2023 Conference will be held on Oct. 30–Nov. 1, 2023, with additional programming Nov. 2—3, 2023, in person in Denver, Colorado, at the Omni Interlocken Hotel.
The NAWEA/WindTech conference is the premier scientific and interdisciplinary conference on wind energy in North America. It aims to bring together wind energy students, faculty members, and researchers, along with industry, government, and nonprofit representatives from around the world.
WindSTAR Webinar: Evolving to Support a Low-Carbon Transformation

Speaker Brandon Fitchett, Program Manager of Wind Power R&D at EPRI, will join WindSTAR for a webinar about the transitions to a low-carbon renewables industry. He will discuss the need for renewables plants to be built with greater productivity, reliability, and flexibility than ever before, as well as some of the challenges and needs of as the industry as we collectively move toward that goal. Wake Conference 2023

The bi-annual Wake Conference has gathered researchers within the field of wake and farm flow since more than 10 years. Researchers from UTD Wind will give talks and presentations on their work and the conference proceedings will be published in the Journal of Physics Conference Series.

2022 Sandia Blade Workshop
Researchers from UTD Wind gave presentations as well as hosted a booth at this past years Sandia Blade Workshop. The workshop brings together wind industry experts to address the major topics for wind turbine blades to identify future technology pathways.
2022 Edge Symposium
UTD Wind researcher invited to speak on control and optimization technology at the Edge Symposium. The two-day program featured keynote talks, workshops, technical sessions, and live demonstrations, highlighting the latest research and developments.
NAWEA/Windtech 2022
Faculty and students from UTD Wind gave presentations and chaired a session at the 2022 NAWEA/WindTech Conference. The conference was hosted at the University of Delaware in partnership between the Center for the Research in Wind (CReW) and NAWEA.
